Week 14 Streaming Options

We’re one week away from the fantasy football playoffs and we’re all looking for a fill-in starter to make our final playoff push. Here are some of my favorite streaming options for Week 14, in order of who I would start.

Week 14 QB Streaming Options

Russell Wilson (DEN) @ LAC

ESPN 57%, Yahoo 57%, Sleeper 64%

Wilson has been a low-ceiling, high-floor fantasy play for the majority of the season. He’s finished as a top 18 in each of the last 6 weeks. Now he gets to face off against the 28th ranked defense vs the QB position in 2023. Underneath the dome in SoFi stadium, I expect this game to be a shootout as neither defense has lived up to its billing thus far in 2023.

Gardner Minshew (IND) @ CIN

ESPN 19%, Yahoo 20%, Sleeper 30%

Minshew has thrown over 40 passes in each of the last 2 games, leading to QB12 and QB13 finishes in back to back weeks. He’ll face a Bengals defense in Week 14 that is 26th against the QB position so far in 2023. They’ve given up top-10 finishes in 4 of the last 5 weeks, and this Colts offense continues to exceed expectations as their defense has struggled. Shane Steichen has been a masterful playcaller as a rookie head coach for this Colts squad.

Jake Browning (CIN) v IND

ESPN 9%, Yahoo 13%, Sleeper 26%

In just his second career start in place of the injured Joe Burrow, Browning showed why Cincinnati didn’t commit too many resources to their backup QB position in the offseason. Browning shined on Monday night in Jacksonville, finishing as the QB4 and ending with the highest PFF QB grade of Week 13. The Colts rank 24th against the QB position in 2023. As a result, I expect this to be one of the higher-scoring games on Sunday’s slate despite featuring 2 backup quarterbacks.

Would start if available: Jordan Love (GB) @ NYG

Week 14 RB Streaming Options

Jerick McKinnon (KC) v BUF

ESPN 39%, Yahoo 37%, Sleeper 41%

McKinnon was a league winner down the stretch in the 2022 fantasy football playoffs, and he may get the opportunity to bring home championships again here in 2023. With Isaiah Pacheco slated to miss Week 14 (and potentially more time), McKinnon should get plenty of snaps on an offense looking for a spark. McKinnon has excelled out of the backfield, which should give him a safe fantasy floor while having plenty of touchdown opportunity on Sunday.

Keaton Mitchell (BAL) v LAR

ESPN 48%, Yahoo 60%, Sleeper 58%

Mitchell has taken a stranglehold of the RB2 job in Baltimore, playing 46% of snaps in their last outing in LA. Mitchell has been one of the more explosive running backs in the league when provided the opportunity, and I expect Baltimore to run the ball early and often in expected rainy conditions at home.

Chase Brown (CIN) v IND

ESPN 7%, Yahoo 8%, Sleeper 12%

Brown, a rookie 5th round pick, saw his first legitimate NFL action on Monday night in Jacksonville and did not disappoint. He fits the mold of an Austin Ekeler-type, playing with elite burst and a smaller, yet stocky frame. Brown was an immediate spark-plug to an offense trying to find its way post-Joe Burrow in 2023. He only saw 9 opportunities, but averaged almost 7 yards a carry and warranted more playing time. Brown is a low-floor, high-ceiling fantasy play in a plus matchup at home against Indianapolis.

Would start if available: Chuba Hubbard (CAR) @ NO; Dameon Pierce (HOU) @ NYJ

Week 14 WR Streaming Options

Brandin Cooks (DAL) v PHI

ESPN 78%, Yahoo 70%, Sleeper 74%

Cooks had a slow start to the season, which means there’s a *slight* chance that he’s on your waivers. If he’s available, he’s easily one of the better starts of the week. The Eagles rank 32nd against opposing wide receivers, and this Dallas passing offense has been the hottest in the league over the past month and a half. Cooks has finished as a top-18 receiver in 5 of the last 7 contests for Dallas.

Jonathan Mingo (CAR) @ NO

ESPN 27%, Yahoo 29%, Sleeper 32%

In their first game without Frank Reich calling the shots in Carolina, the rookie 2nd-round pick Mingo saw his most opportunities of the season. He was targeted ten times and finished with 6 catches for 69 yards. With rain in the forecast for the majority of outdoor games this weekend, I’m aiming to find pass-catchers playing inside this weekend. Mingo fits that bill, and his connection with fellow rookie Bryce Young is expected to build under new play-calling.

Dontayvion Wicks (GB) @ NYG

ESPN 2%, Yahoo 3%, Sleeper 5%

These young Packers receivers have really turned a corner over the last month, and rookie 5th round pick Dontayvion Wicks will undoubtedly see more playing time with an injury to Christian Watson. Wicks has flashed while playing limited snaps this season, and gets to face the 21st ranked team against wide receivers on Monday night in New York.

Would start if available : Josh Downs (IND) @ CIN

Week 14 TE Streaming Options

Brevin Jordan (HOU) @ NYJ

ESPN 8%, Yahoo 12%, Sleeper 14%

Jordan has flashed when given the opportunity in Houston, including catching 3 passes for 64 yards a week ago in the absence of Dalton Schultz. Now with an injury to Tank Dell and with Schultz still out, Jordan should maintain his modest role in the offense. The Jets defense is stingy against wide receivers, but rank 27th against the tight end position in 2023.

Juwan Johnson (NO) v CAR

ESPN 12%, Yahoo 13%, Sleeper 14%

Okay, things didn’t work out for Johnson last week in a solid matchup against Detroit. Still, with the absence of Rashid Shaheed and Michael Thomas Johnson should see more looks this week against Carolina. Johnson is a solid red zone target, and with so many games being played in rainy conditions I’m comfortable hoping for a touchdown under the dome in New Orleans for Johnson.
